John McCain vs Barack Obama – VOICE YOUR OPINION

What is the main difference between Barack Obama and John McCain? You decide. Will you be voting this year?
Some wonder if Obama is capable of handling and finding solutions to the challenges that face the US. McCain thinks Obama is just a celebrity with too much status. But regarding McCain, some wonder if he is just going to be just another ‘Bush’.
Politics aside there’s not one person that doesn’t notice how high gas is. And how screwed up the economy seems. When are our troops going to come home? The PEOPLE want to know what Congress and the next president is going to do about this.
Okay, back to politics…
Besides being an author, I also host Town Hall political teleconferences. It’s quite interesting actually. Although I can’t get into the specifics, due to privacy, I have learned what’s on the minds of Congressman and Senator’s alike. I’ve also learned what citizens like you and me are thinking about. One issue on everyone’s mind is Energy, the cost of gas, the economy and whether or not we should drill for oil in the United States.
In my opinion, it seems like both the Democrats and Republicans are doing more finger pointing rather than trying to come to a bipartisan and resolve todays issues and find solutions.

The National Democratic Convention will be held in my city and state this year – Denver, Colorado. I plan on attending some of the downtown events to stay in the know, or maybe even get an idea or two for my next novel.

Bottom line, something needs to be done, before we’re all paying like $10.00 a gallon. I think I would have to sell my SUV, if it came to that.

The time calls for brain not brawn. Mr. McCain is irregular, independent in behavior and thought: a true maverick. For all intent and purpose, Mr. McCain is an illiterate. The time calls for a person who is consistent, intelligent and well educated. Mr. Obama is the right president for this time.

I am I child, so I can’t vote but for my opinion, it would be obama. “He’s not that experienced, he’s to young” Who Cares look at ted roosevelt he was young, he was great. People are finding that as an excuse. Obama doesn’t want to win, he wants america to win. Unlike mccain he doesn’t have any negative, nasty campain trailers, most of them not even being true. He admits Mccain isn’t a bad canidate.
If he ends up being a bad president, I just know someones going to say,”I told you he was a bad canidate.” No one could tell he would be a bad president by his campain. That doesn’t prove who somebody really is. You can find out a person by action. Action. “Action speaks louder than words.” Everybody says that but everybody just says,”ohh he’s to young and unexperienced. End of story”
I have seen a post on yahoo answers on “obama vs mccain” that said “All obama voters are idiots.” First of all I’m sure he’s not old enough to vote and second if he says that than you can tell he already has something wrong with obama. I’ve never see a respond that said “Mccain voters are idiots” and I hope I never will.

Because,I am 54 years old and I get tired, most times and I seem to forget things more than I used too. This Macain should not run for president , because , his policies are not good the the country ,NOT WHAT THE PEOPLE NEED !seems incoherenant

  4. Pat Bridewell says:

My opinion is that although Obama is a young senator, I think he is prepared to take on the responsibility of running our country. Historically, we’ve had other presidents who were deemed “inexperienced” but were able to handle the role of president. We need somebody with his ntelligence and enthusiasm to bail our country out of this economic crisis. I say – VOTE FOR OBAMA.

  5. Tinisha,
Great blog. While at home last week watching the DNC I was wondering if you got the chance to go!

Wish I could have been there with you.

I pray that women are smarter than Mc Cain thinks we are. I am not voting for a Vice President , but a President. Yes, MC Cain is a war hero, and was a prisoner of war. But does flying, and dropping bombs, over a country of peasants make him a leader of men, does spending five years in Hanoi Hilton make him a leader of this country. NO! This political move, and that’s all it is, is to sway women to vote for him because he picked a femal running mate. Amazing, what does he really know of her? He has only met with her once. Shaking hands does not a leader make. Mc Cain is willing to stay in the Middle East for another hundred years. Tell me, does Sarah Palin have her heart set on her son being there that long, or coming home with the wounds we see daily on the TV, or in that lovely box our military provides? I protested the Viet Nam War, and love a Viet Nam Vet. Our soldiers, sons and daughters, need to be home with their familys not fighting a war for oil, WMD, womens right or all the other lies they want us to believe is the reason our government invaded Iraq.

  7. Just vote! Stand up and be counted. Vote! Vote! Vote! Both sides can be argued but it is up to the people to implement change. Vote for the one who represents your ideals and encourage others to do so. Just vote!

According to the New York Times, Democrats blocked Bush’s Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac reforms so low income people with bad credit could buy houses.
”These two entities -Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac – are not facing any kind of financial crisis. The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, and the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.” said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee.

This is a copy of an e-mail from a Utah Soldier.

As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass
along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour
on his visit to ‘The War Zone’. I wanted to share with you what
happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle,
got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.

As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and
didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General.
As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a
big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out
in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball.
He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for
    their service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the American’s back
home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are
going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank
those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the
Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to
be the President of the United States . I just don’t understand how
anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost
that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.

If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to
know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the
    news is all fake.

    How Racism and/or Anti-Intellectualism Works…

What if John McCain were a former president of the Harvard Law Review?
What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?

What if McCain were still married to the first woman he said ‘I do’ to?
What if Obama were the candidate who left his first wife after she no
longer measured up to his standards?

What if Michelle Obama were a wife who not only became addicted to
pain killers, but acquired them illegally through her charitable
What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?

What if Obama were a member of the Keating-5?
What if McCain were a charismatic, eloquent speaker?

If these questions were seriously confronted, do you really believe
the election numbers would be anywhere near as close as they are?
This is what racism or anti-intellectualism and fear accomplishes. It
covers up, rationalizes and minimizes positive qualities in one
candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in another when there is a
color difference or a refusal to simply examine the facts devoid of

You are The Boss… which team would you hire?

With America facing historic debt, two wars, stumbling health care, a
weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, mortgage crises,
    bank foreclosures, etc.

A food for thought. If Obama gets in what is going to happen to all small businesses? Living in NJ and grossing $250k then paying taxes you are left with not much when raising two children and supporting your mother who is elderly. Small business will fold and so will my husbands. Even to have health insurance for all your workers making $250 can’t be done. There will not be enough money for my family to survive. Obama needs to re-think what he wants to do to people’s taxes. He will KILL all small businesses and many people will be hurting or laying more people off!! I am all for McCain!!! Vote for Obama and this country is done.

  13. Thanks for the link on my site.
Actually I am two months too young to vote, however, I am a John McCaing person. I’m not saying that McCain is the best, I ‘m saying he’s the least harmful. I am an Assemblies of God Christian young man so I definitely have ties with Sarah Palin. I think Sarah sealed the vote for me.
